Job summary

The Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations leads the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences' development and alumni relations efforts, directing major gift fundraising and donor stewardship across the college.

They collaborate with the Dean and the University Development office to set fundraising priorities, manage a portfolio of principal gifts, and coordinate with college units and partners across the university to advance strategic giving initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 12 years of professional experience to include 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Progressively responsible fundraising or related experience and leadership experience, including work in all functional areas of development and leadership in a major capital campaign.
  • Experience nurturing and motivating high-level volunteers and expressing appreciation for their role in building an effective development network.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership for all Development and Alumni Relations Operations for the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Frontline Fundraising: Develop and manage a portfolio of 30+ principal gift prospects ($1M+).
  • Serve as liaison between Franklin College and University Development; collaborate with various offices to integrate priorities.
