Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Desktop Support Specialist with experience working with CXO-level users. You will play a crucial role in operations within our onsite work model. With 12 to 14 years of experience, you will coordinate remote support, resolve issues, and improve efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact our company's efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Technician Skillset Required

  • Experience supporting manufacturing/lab IT systems and devices.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, lab, and Data Center IT equipment, including scanners, printers (Zebra, etc.), tablets, PCs used on manufacturing lines, and specialized test equipment.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for AV devices (projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, displays).
  • Ability to identify root causes of incidents reported by end users for IT devices and mobility support.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams (Network, Server) and OEMs on high-priority issues.
  • Experience managing Power Shut Down activities for network devices and servers in Data Centers.
  • Lead IT asset lifecycle management, including asset collection, secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates.
  • Basic troubleshooting for network devices (rack and stack: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
  • Understanding of GMP and GxP standards.
  • Experience working in a Clean Room and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to quality and detail.
  • Ability to provide on-demand hands-on support for technology teams.
  • Support for commissioning/decommissioning infrastructure devices.
  • Facilitate physical access for vendors to site/communication rooms.
  • Monitor and support printer usage and coordinate with vendors for print service continuity.
  • Coordinate cable patching with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure basic network connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, Video Tandberg, Printer, Voice) at sites.
  • Install and configure hardware and software for end-user usability.

Certifications Required

CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST).

Salary and Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $63,500 to $74,500, depending on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
