Clinton County seeks a collaborative, strategic Deputy County Administrator to serve as second-in-command and drive county operations, budgeting, policy development and organizational leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Finance, Business, or related field is required.
• Graduate coursework or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of administrative experience in county government or related public sector with responsibility for government finances.

Responsibilities

• Assist the County Administrator in executive leadership and county operations.
• Coordinate and support annual budget development and financial oversight.
• Conduct policy research and strategic analysis.
• Support Board of Commissioners committees and initiatives.
• Assist with personnel and employee relations matters.
• Coordinate county-wide projects and operational improvements.
• Act on behalf of the County Administrator/Controller as assigned.
