Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a strategic, senior leader to oversee audit coverage across Cybersecurity and Core Technology in a large financial institution. You will shape the audit strategy, test priorities, and integrated coverage with a focus on risk-based assurance and emerging technology risks.

You will lead risk assessment activities, advance analytics-driven auditing, and partner with regulators and executives to strengthen the risk and control environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Internal Audit or risk management in large financial institutions.
• Senior leadership overseeing cyber, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering risk domains.
• Proven ability to lead integrated audits across multiple risk areas.
• Experience engaging regulators and executive stakeholders (CIO, CISO).
• Certifications in information systems audit or cybersecurity required (CISA, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a risk-based, integrated audit strategy across Cybersecurity and Core Technology.
• Lead risk assessment activities and development of audit coverage strategies.
• Strengthen audit capabilities through workforce planning and capability development.
• Maintain integrated audit coverage across cybersecurity, engineering, and operations.
• Serve as senior audit relationship lead to technology executives and regulators.
• Ensure quality and timely audit delivery with standardized methodologies.
• Drive analytics, continuous auditing, and AI-enabled auditing initiatives.
• Provide enterprise-wide risk insights and support remediation efforts.
