Job summary

Matthews seeks a Research Analyst to work directly with and in support of our CEO, Kyle Matthews, serving as the day-to-day research partner and arming him with data, talking points, and content for media, speaking engagements, his newsletter, and social platforms. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of commercial real estate research, executive communications, and thought leadership.

It is based on-site in our Nashville, TN office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Journalism, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of CRE research, market analysis, or analytical/communications role.
• Ability to work independently and deliverables from data pull to finished product.
• Strong writing and editing to turn data into narrative under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with CRE data sources and Excel-level data skills.

Responsibilities

• Track key CRE and macroeconomic data releases and identify trends and implications for clients and market.
• Translate data, industry news, and competitor commentary into compelling stories and executive insights.
• Develop data-driven reports, market updates, and thought leadership connecting data points to CRE narrative.
• Partner with Research and Publications to source, validate, and package data for the CEO's use.
• Own the research for The Matthews Market Pulse newsletter end-to-end.
• Contribute to and grow social media presence on LinkedIn and X with regular content.
• Build data visualizations to make market data digestible for a broad audience.
• Develop webinar content from concept to delivery with key messages and notes.
• Prepare briefing materials and presentations for speaking engagements and internal meetings.
• Prepare CEO for media appearances with sharp talking points.
