Job summary

CenterPoint Energy in Houston seeks a Corporate Communications Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, translating business strategy into clear, compelling communications. You will influence brand, reputation, employee engagement, and enterprise initiatives as a manager-level individual contributor.

You will collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, Corporate Affairs and other functions to develop executive materials, messaging and change communications while guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible communications experience.
• Experience supporting senior executives in a corporate environment.
• Proven track record in strategic communications and change programs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to executives on messaging strategies aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Counsel on stakeholder engagement, change communications, and reputation management.
• Lead development of executive materials including speeches and presentations.
• Ensure consistency of executive messaging across channels.
• Translate complex topics into clear narratives and coach leaders on engagement.
• Design comms strategies for enterprise transformations with HR and leadership.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans for large projects and measure impact.
• Oversee communication plans across channels (intranet, newsletters, videos, forums).
