San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority seeks an accomplished executive to lead operations, maintenance, and capital projects. Based in Tracy, the COO will oversee O&M, engineering, procurement, and safety while collaborating with member agencies and external partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least ten years of supervisory or executive experience in a public agency. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Ten years of supervisory, management, or executive experience in a public agency is preferred.
• Broad management experience in a public agency, including program formulation and administrative operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for O&M and Capital Improvement Projects across the Authority.
• Oversee development and administration of annual budget with fiscal analysis.
• Coordinate cross-department activities to drive efficiency and alignment.
• Represent the Executive Director before federal, state, and local agencies and other organizations.
