Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer to lead day-to-day operations across Lahey Clinic and the BILH system. Reporting to the President, the COO will drive operational excellence, patient-centered care, and strategic execution.

The role oversees clinical and administrative operations, aligns leadership, manages budgets, and advances performance improvement, quality, and service-line growth within a matrixed health system.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in healthcare leadership, including at least 5 years in an executive role within a multi-hospital system.
• Experience in service line operations, program development, and physician relations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate hospital operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Lead implementation of strategic and operational plans with senior leadership.
• Align and optimize resources to achieve goals and manage budgets.
• Collaborate on strategic planning, service line expansion, and growth investments.
• Establish KPIs and benchmarking; report results to executives.
