Job summary

MassMutual seeks a Communications Consultant to translate complex business priorities and organizational changes into clear messages that inform, influence, and drive action. This role blends strategy, executive communications, change readiness, and data-driven decision-making across the Operations communications function.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in internal communications, experience advising senior leaders, and a track record of creating high-impact content across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in communications, employee communications, internal communications, change communications, PR, or related field.
• 2+ years building and executing communication strategies and plans for complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders and project teams on objectives, audiences, timing, channels, risks, and outcomes.
• Develop executive-ready communications: talking points, leadership messages, FAQs, and town halls.
• Create and manage communication strategies and calendars for business initiatives and change efforts.
• Partner with Change Management and readiness teams to support adoption of initiatives.
• Create content across channels (email, intranet, presentations, guides, videos) and optimize channel effectiveness.
• Ensure communications align with brand standards and measure impact with data.
