Job summary

PG&E in Oakland seeks a highly motivated Executive Communications Expert to lead external executive communications for the President and EVP of Customer & Corporate Affairs, and the EVP of Strategy and Growth.

You will plan, deliver and measure programs across press, social, owned content and public speaking, educate broad stakeholders, and collaborate with Chiefs of Staff to align internal and external messaging. Hybrid work with travel up to 25% may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, advertising, marketing, public relations, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of related experience in corporate communications, executive communications, journalism, or politics.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise communications for diverse audiences.
• Experience engaging directly with media and preparing executives for interviews and high-stakes inquiries.
• Experience leading communications across multiple channels with aligned messaging across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic communications plan to support and advance executive platforms.
• Develop messaging for external audiences.
• Create original content including briefing documents, talking points, social media content, and press materials.
• Develop and maintain media relationships and respond to inquiries.
• Counsel internal and external leaders on addressing issues and communicating decisions.
