Job summary

New York Power Authority (NYPA) seeks an Executive Communications Manager to shape NYPA’s public and internal voice for the president and CEO—advancing a more reliable, affordable and sustainable energy future for all New Yorkers. The role combines strategy, content development and materials across channels, including speeches, press releases and digital village channels.

The ideal candidate will manage internal/external messaging, translate complex policy topics, and guide leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years in corporate communications or related field.
Ability to translate complex topics into audience-friendly narratives.
Strong command of AP-style writing preferred.

Responsibilities

Draft and create communications that build trust and a positive reputation across channels.
Develop editorial calendars and content plans with channel partners.
Plan and execute employee events and manage presentation materials.
Draft speeches and talking points for the CEO and executives.
Monitor metrics and report impact of communications.
Collaborate with Corporate Communications team and leadership to align messages.
