The Walt Disney World® Resort is seeking a highly creative Executive Communications & Public Affairs Intern to support graphics, social media content, and presentation design. You will help craft written and visual materials enabling senior leaders to engage Cast Members, partners, and external audiences.

This full-time, six-month internship runs January–June 2027 in Orlando, FL, with cross-team collaboration and executive engagement support.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class during application.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Junior or Senior year preferred

About The Role

The Walt Disney World® Resort is looking for a creative, dynamic communicator to support the Communications & Public Affairs department and the Executive Communications team. This position will primarily support the development of graphics, social media content, presentation templates, and other assets as needed. The intern will also help create written and visual communications that enable senior leaders to connect with Cast Members, business partners, and external audiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams and contribute to executive communications presentations, events, and engagements.

What You Will Do

As an Executive Communications & Public Affairs Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the development of executive communications strategies
  • Develop and design presentations
  • Film and edit videos for social media channels
  • Design graphics as needed for the Communications & Public Affairs team
  • Collaborate with the Communications & Public Affairs team to help ensure we tell our stories in the most innovative and creative ways
  • Build relationships with partners locally and across the company to amplify our message
  • Support the planning and execution of executive communications programs and events
  • Assist with preparation, communication, and facilitation of executive communications presentations
  • Assist with coordinating and supporting ongoing executive engagement tactics
  • Create and update various forms of written communication, such as scripts and correspondence
  • General administrative support

This internship is a full-time opportunity for six months, from January 2027 through June 2027.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in design and photo editing/experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
  • Expertise in capturing and editing content for social media, including Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Experience with both Mac and Windows operating systems, with high expertise in Mac
  • Willingness to learn new software applications
  • Available to work evenings and weekends when needed

  • Previous Disney experience
  • Public speaking and sharing professional presentations
  • Crafting and organizing events
  • Supporting executives or public figures (e.g., local government officials)
  • Social Media planning experience
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications
Education
  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications, or other relevant subjects

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through June 2027
  • Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time Zone, with possible weekends or shifts that are outside of these hours for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
