Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Senior Communications Manager to lead executive and enterprise communications for the CEO, shaping positioning and messaging across internal and external audiences. The role partners with Federal Affairs and Corporate Communications to support national priorities and media relations.

The position reports to the Manager of Executive Communications and CEO Positioning and requires coordinating multiple high‑priority projects in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• In lieu of degree: 9+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft speeches, scripts, talking points, and briefing materials for CEO.
• Develop strategic communications plans to support CEO positioning.
• Coordinate with Federal Affairs, Sustainability and Philanthropy teams on collateral requests.
• Support internal and external communications across executive audiences.
• Manage communications for national and federal priorities in partnership with Corporate Communications.
