Truist seeks an accomplished communications leader to craft executive messaging, drive internal and external communications, and advise senior leadership. You will shape narratives, develop strategic initiatives, and protect the firm’s reputation while aligning with culture and business priorities.

The role emphasizes office-centrism with in-office work five days a week, travel for events, and collaboration across divisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
Experience influencing executive leaders and leading major initiatives.
Proven business and financial services acumen.
Experience leading internal/external communications strategy.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, influence others, meet tight deadlines, and manage risk.
Experience managing agencies and vendors.
Experience using data and analytics to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

Translate complex business strategies into clear executive messaging.
Develop stories and initiatives for external audiences aligned with strategy.
Create memorable narratives connecting strategy to culture.
Develop consistent themes and key messages across channels.
Write remarks, posts, scripts, and major speeches in the CEO's voice.
Produce enterprise-level communications strategies with cross-functional impact.
Provide strategic guidance for the CEO and leadership team.
Build alignment across high-impact stakeholders.
Travel as needed to support executive speaking engagements.
Provide crisis and reputation communications support.
