Job summary

The role focuses on external and internal communications, including investor and media engagements, executive visibility, and event strategy, reporting to the VP of Corporate

Qualifications

• Proven experience in executive and/or corporate communications in pharma/biotech or related industry.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with ability to translate complex scientific and business concepts into clear narratives.
• Strong executive presence and judgment to influence senior leaders with confidence and discretion.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability across 30,000-foot and detail-oriented levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across matrixed organizations and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive communications strategy supporting R&D, TOPS and Business Development, including executive visibility and thought leadership.
• Shape and deliver integrated messaging for BioMarin senior leaders across channels (investor relations, media, BioMarin.com, social, internal forums).
• Coordinate internal communications, all-hands meetings, and events to engage employees and external stakeholders.
• Advise senior leaders with strategic messaging, positioning, and audience engagement.
• Develop executive communications materials: speeches, presentations, emails, social content.
• Support speaking engagements end-to-end, including content development and feedback.
