Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, Senior Cloud Data Architect & Migration Leader to drive enterprise-scale cloud data migration strategy and execution. The role partners with senior stakeholders to modernize legacy data platforms into secure, scalable cloud-native data capabilities supporting AI, analytics, regulatory needs, and superior user experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years in IT, data architecture, or cloud transformation; or 10+ years of hands-on equivalent experience.
5+ years leading data platform modernization, cloud migration, or large-scale tech transformations.
Proven ability to define enterprise roadmaps, migration strategies, and measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise cloud data migration strategy, roadmap, and execution.
Define vision and adoption strategy for cloud data platforms and data products.
Provide senior architectural direction across lakehouse, data mesh, and AI-enabled ecosystems.
Drive prioritization and execution across legacy data ecosystems with focus on value and risk.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable migration outcomes.
