Job summary

StartCare, Inc. is seeking a Clinic Director to lead the Brooklyn-based clinic operations and regulatory compliance. The role oversees clinical and administrative services, staffing, budgeting, and quality initiatives across East Harlem, Manhattan, and Fort Greene, Brooklyn locations.

The candidate must be an LCSW with 6–8 years in behavioral health and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in SUD. Strong regulatory knowledge and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
• Masters in a Human Services field preferred, or MBA/management degree.
• CASAC preferred.
• Minimum of 6–8 years clinical work experience in Behavioral Health.
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in SUD field.
• Must complete Clinical Supervision Foundations Training I and II within six months of hire.
• Understanding of urban healthcare and regulatory requirements (OASAS/CARF/DEA/DOH).
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise work activities of medical, non-clinical, administrative, security, and maintenance functions.
• Oversee clinic operations, staffing, budgeting, and fiscal oversight.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and quality initiatives; maintain audit readiness.
• Prepare reports for management and document incidents and actions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Real Property, People & Culture for operations and staff issues.
• Provide clinical supervision to direct reports and ensure proper documentation.
• Participate in community education, marketing, and fund development activities.
• Sign off on admissions, transfers, and discharges with proper documentation.

Education

LCSW licensed
