Job summary

NOW CFO in Denver is seeking a Director to lead a portfolio of client relationships and shape the local consulting practice. This high-visibility role combines client delivery with team development, offering autonomy within a PE-backed, fast-growing firm.

You will manage senior stakeholders including CEOs and private equity sponsors, scope engagements, mentor consultants, and drive growth while maintaining high-quality financial leadership and operational rigor across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience leading client engagements and growing a consulting practice.
• Strong communication with executives and private equity sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary relationship owner for a portfolio of client engagements.
• Scope engagements, develop staffing plans and proposals.
• Mentor and develop the Denver consulting team.
• Review consultant deliverables to ensure high quality.
• Split time 50/50 between billable work and leadership.
• Oversee financial operations including accounting, reporting, forecasting.
• Partner with leadership to drive growth and operational excellence.
• Build relationships with CEOs, boards, and investors.
• Support business development and client pursuits.
