Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a senior Claims Director, Property & Casualty, to lead the US Claims strategy and manage AVPs/Team Managers. You will drive claims performance, litigation strategy, and a high-value customer experience across CGL teams.

The role requires deep claims expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to translate strategy into concrete plans while guiding cross-functional partners. This position is hybrid with two days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of claims management experience, including people management.
• 7+ years insurance carrier claims handling experience, preferably with commercial general liability.
• Ability to translate strategic thinking into actionable plans and delivery.
• Strong operational skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proven track record of leveraging technology to improve performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Team AVPs overseeing customer service and results.
• Deliver on KPIs and Hiscox USA Best Practices.
• Drive strategic initiatives for cost-effective and high-value claims results.
• Support employee engagement, team performance and development.
• Oversee reserving, timelines and adequacy of incurred reserves.
• Recruitment and onboarding; manage and develop talent.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
