The established hospitality group in Mill Valley is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead an Italian restaurant. You will oversee all culinary operations, ensure high standards, and drive a guest-focused dining experience.

You should bring a strong background in Italian cuisine, pasta, and wood-fired pizza, with experience in a structured restaurant group and solid control of food cost and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
• Strong background in Italian cuisine.
• Pasta experience required.
• Wood-fired pizza oven experience preferred.
• Experience in a structured restaurant group with established systems.
• Strong understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen operations.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations for the restaurant.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across the menu.
• Manage food costs, ordering, inventory, and kitchen labor.
• Follow established recipes, processes, and SOPs.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards are met.
• Collaborate with restaurant leadership to deliver a strong guest experience.
• Recruit, train, and build a high-performing culinary team.
