Job summary

Brookdale is seeking an Executive Chef for the Greenwood Village Senior Living community. Lead daily kitchen operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional dining experiences for residents, with focus on sanitation, portion control, and menu development.

You will collaborate with culinary supervisors to create nutritious, appealing meals that meet budget targets, maintain quality standards, and promote resident satisfaction through creative menus and proactive quality checks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or required.
• 2–4 years kitchen leadership experience in senior living or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily kitchen operations and maintains top quality meals.
• Directly supervises and trains kitchen staff on culinary activities.
• Ensure breakfast, lunch and dinner meet portion and presentation standards.
• Plan menus, develop recipes, and coordinate prep for next day’s service.
• Manage inventory, budgeting, and cost control for daily meals.
• Lead hiring, scheduling, and staff development for the kitchen.
