Live Oaks Wellness in Novato, CA seeks an Executive Chef for our detox and 6-bed residential SUD facility. You will oversee all kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff development to deliver nutritious, recovery-focused meals.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Certificate
• Current TB test
• Criminal background check
• Drug screening
• Pre-employment screenings and references

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct all food preparation and meal service
• Develop weekly menus that are balanced, nutritious, and recovery-focused
• Maintain copies of menus for a minimum of 30 days
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Design plating and presentation standards for all meals
• Create new recipes, menu items, and occasional specials
• Track food costs and manage kitchen budget effectively
• Order food and kitchen supplies and coordinate deliveries or pickups
• Maintain accurate inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of kitchen appliances
• Ensure compliance with all state food safety and sanitation laws
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready kitchen
• Manage daily workflow and resolve kitchen-related issues efficiently
• Research and implement new culinary trends where appropriate
