Job summary

Columbia Ability Alliance is seeking a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations for the Columbia Valley Center for Recovery. You will design menus aligned with dietary guidelines, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure food safety and quality in a recovery-focused setting.

You will also provide leadership for Opportunity Kitchen, a 12-week vocational food training program, delivering hands-on instruction and mentoring to participants while maintaining production efficiency and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or related field preferred.
• Associate’s degree or culinary certification with equivalent experience considered.
• WA Food Handler's Certificate required (or ability to obtain within 14 days).
• Additional nutrition or healthcare food service certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements regular and modified menus in accordance with dietary guidelines and client needs.
• Oversees preparation and presentation of all meals, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises kitchen staff to maintain an efficient team environment.
• Oversees catering for public and private events, ensuring high-quality food and service.
• Provides culinary leadership for training programs and mentors trainees.
