God's Love We Deliver in the New York metropolitan area seeks an Executive Chef to lead high-volume medically tailored meal production, ensuring recipe execution, food safety, production timelines, and team development.

This leadership role works across Nutrition, Operations, Purchasing, Facilities, Volunteer Services, and Communications to deliver high-quality meals at scale while fostering a collaborative, respectful kitchen culture and coordinating hundreds of volunteers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of culinary leadership in high-volume production or nonprofit food service.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to mentor diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and large-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

• Foster a mission-driven environment emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and respect.
• Lead and oversee daily kitchen production to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and support culinary staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with Volunteer Services to ensure volunteers are welcomed, trained, and supported.
• Monitor workflow and staffing to maximize efficiency and maintain operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and regulatory standards at all times.
• Maintain recipe execution consistency, scaling, labeling, and packaging procedures.
• Lead weekly leadership meetings and daily briefings for AM/PM shifts to align goals.
• Assist with scheduling, performance management, onboarding, and staff development.
• Maintain production records, temperature logs, and documentation accurately.
• Support ERP usage for purchasing and demand planning.
• Oversee packaging orders and procurement interactions.
• Coordinate intake and logistics of raw materials and food donations.
• Oversee inventory usage, FIFO, waste reduction, and storage procedures.
• Maintain equipment readiness and coordinate maintenance with Facilities.
• Review invoices and collaborate with Finance via NetSuite.
• Collaborate with Nutrition to develop medically tailored menus and diet modifications.
• Partner with Purchasing/Receiving to ensure quality and availability.
• Support events, donor experiences, media opportunities, and fundraising initiatives.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to align kitchen operations with organizational priorities.
• Participate in strategic planning and process improvements.
