Gallaher Signature Living, based in California, seeks an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations and deliver sophisticated, resident-centered dining within regulatory standards. You will drive menu development, mentor staff, and oversee budgeting and compliance in a luxury senior living setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, financial stewardship, and adherence to health and Title 22 requirements while collaborating with Culinary Director to elevate resident dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of culinary leadership in high-volume, full-service environments.
• Expertise in culinary technique, kitchen operations, and team leadership.
• Experience with budgeting, labor controls, and food cost management.
• Knowledge of food safety standards; Title 22 experience preferred.
• Able to pass required examinations and clearances per DSS licensing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and professional email.

Responsibilities

• Design, refine seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Ensure menus meet dietary needs and Title 22 regulations.
• Oversee back-of-house operations with consistency and presentation.
• Manage food and labor budgets and waste reduction strategies.
• Lead BOH staffing including recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Foster professional kitchen culture, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Title 22 and health standards.
