Job summary

Kona Kai San Diego, a Noble House Resort, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our island-inspired kitchen. You will manage daily kitchen operations, drive culinary excellence, and partner with the Corporate F&B team on menu development for restaurant and banquet services.

You will train a team of 13 line cooks, 7 stewards, and 1 purchaser, while controlling costs, quality, and guest experiences. This role reports to the General Manager and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading culinary teams in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Strong organizational and instructional skills for a team of cooks and stewards.
• Ability to collaborate with corporate F&B to develop menus and specials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare menus balancing creativity with guest requests and high quality.
• Supervise cooking of items requiring skillful preparation.
• Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff to meet budgeted labor costs.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.
