Job summary

The Weathervane Restaurant is seeking an Executive Chef to lead all kitchen operations, create menus, and manage costs and inventory. This role requires strong leadership, culinary excellence, and business acumen to deliver a top-tier dining experience.

You will oversee staff, ensure food quality, enforce health and safety standards, and drive profitability. Prior culinary leadership and a culinary degree are highly valued, with opportunities to mentor a talented kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diverse cuisines and food preparation.
• Strong leadership and guest service orientation.
• Ability to manage staff, costs, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations, scheduling, costing, and food prep.
• Lead menu creation and recipe development.
• Enforce sanitation standards and safety protocols.
• Train and develop kitchen staff; conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate with General Manager on dining program and costs.
• Maintain vendor relationships and kitchen equipment upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and documentation.

Education

Culinary degree preferred

Food Safety Certification

5+ years Chef/Sous Chef experience
