Job summary

Shades Bar & Grill is seeking an Executive Chef for its Miramar Beach location, with summer training at Inlet Beach. The role focuses on building a high-energy scratch kitchen, leading a culinary team, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Compensation will be based on experience.

The candidate will oversee kitchen operations, ensure food quality, manage cost controls, and maintain safety standards in a dynamic environment with openings and high volume service.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant openings a plus
• Prior high volume kitchen experience required
• Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of kitchen systems and processes
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills
• Understanding of food cost & ordering
• Can obtain any necessary food handling permits or licenses
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties

• Maintain excellence in food quality by following all recipe and product specifications
• Plan and prepare a variety of scratch recipes
