Job description

Job Summary

Compass Group - Flik is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to cook authentic Korean dishes. The position is primarily Monday - Friday at a corporate account. Responsibilities include:

  1. Producing and preparing food according to menus, recipes, and portions.
  2. Understanding all flavor profiles of Korean dishes and producing them reliably and consistently.
  3. Managing product cost and understanding P&L statements to determine operational success.
  4. Establishing strong vendor partnerships to meet product cost goals.
  5. Maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
  6. Setting up and breaking down stations and transporting products.
  7. Ensuring quality and visual presentation of food.
  8. Leading a team to execute timely, flavorful, and authentic Korean dishes.
  9. Assisting in other areas of the operation as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience managing a team of up to 5 people.
  • Extensive experience in a fast-paced, prep-intensive environment serving up to 500 meals per day.
  • Fluent Korean language skills; English speaking skills are highly desired.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Effective time management and team leadership skills.
  • Professional presentation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 40 lbs.
