Job Summary

Position: Executive Chef

As the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensure a safe and sanitary environment, and prepare or supervise meal preparation according to corporate standards. This role is ideal for an energetic culinary professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus in line with guidelines
• Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; utilize production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality
• Train staff in food prep, safety, sanitation, and equipment operation
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules
• Manage inventory to stay within budget while ensuring product availability
• Make decisions on leftover food utilization within company policies
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations through audits
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in meetings and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in culinary or kitchen management, depending on training
• Catering experience is a plus
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
• Institutional and batch cooking experience
• Hands-on chef experience required
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction activities
• ServSafe certification preferred
