Job summary

Eurest, a member of Compass Group USA, is hiring an Executive Chef in Summit, NJ. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure sanitary practices, and guide meal production per corporate programs and guidelines.

This is an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary leadership role with opportunities across corporate dining and on-site catering. We seek a hands-on chef with strong menu planning, training, inventory control, and compliance with health and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent culinary degree/experience required.
• 3–5 years in progressive kitchen management and high-volume catering.
• Hands-on chef with strong food safety and sanitation knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; basic computer skills.
• ServSafe certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus per guidelines.
• Uses standardized recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Trains kitchen staff on food prep, safety, and sanitation.
• Sets cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manages inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure availability.
• Decides on leftover food utilization per company policy.
• Complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Follows safety policies and attends departmental meetings.
