Job Summary

As the Executive Chef, you will oversee culinary operations at St. Mary's Hospital, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality food production. Responsibilities include menu development, inventory management, purchasing, cost control, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan menus according to guidelines
2. Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete production worksheets and taste meals for quality
3. Train and manage a team of about 20 kitchen staff in food prep, safety, and sanitation
4. Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
5. Manage inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure necessary supplies
6. Decide on leftover food utilization within company policies
7. Comply with health and sanitation regulations and participate in audits
8. Follow safety policies and participate in staff development

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of executive chef experience in healthcare preferred
• Culinary Arts degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with multi-unit operations, high-volume foodservice, institutional cooking, and catering
• Hands-on chef experience and knowledge of food trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use
• ServSafe certification
