Job summary

UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services seeks an Executive Chef 4 to lead the production culinary team in a high-volume campus dining environment. You will oversee food production across global, vegan, vegetarian, organic, and healthy cuisines, ensuring nutritional accuracy and exemplary presentation.

Responsibilities include menu development, cost control, staff supervision, and maintaining top-tier customer service and sanitation.

Qualifications

4-6 years Experience in hospitality or high volume production in a restaurant environment.
Demonstrated ability as a managing chef leading a culinary production team for a high-volume food service establishment.
Detailed culinary knowledge of food inventory, recipes, menus, and production methods, including nutritional info.
Ability to train a production team on how to successfully execute recipes and menus and how to use production equipment.
Ability to work on a PC, utilizing Word, Excel, software, and budget/cost control.
Leadership and supervision of multi-functional staff with hiring, evaluation, and development.

Responsibilities

Develop menus, oversee recipes, and ensure nutrition and quality.
Control costs, manage inventory, and enforce food safety.
