Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus is seeking an Executive Chef 4 to lead the campus dining production. You will manage a diverse culinary team, create menus, and oversee global, vegan, vegetarian, organic, and healthy options while ensuring quality and cost controls.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, partnering with the staff Dietician for menu planning, and maintaining service excellence in a high-volume environment consistent with UCLA

Qualifications

• 4-6 years experience in hospitality or high-volume production.
• Experience leading a culinary production team for a high-volume food service.
• Knowledge of world cuisines including vegan/vegetarian/healthy options.
• Ability to train teams on recipes and proper equipment use.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and kitchen software; cost control skills.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication abilities.
• Written and spoken English sufficient for responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the production culinary team in a high-volume campus dining environment.
• Manage food production across global, vegan, vegetarian, organic, and healthy cuisines.
• Ensure adherence to nutritional and quality standards and control costs.
• Supervise staff, develop menus, and oversee operational efficiency to meet goals.
• Coordinate production scheduling, training, and general operations.
• Interact with staff and guests to maintain high service standards.
