Job summary

Danbury Senior Living in Ohio is seeking an Executive Chef to lead Dining Services, directing overall operation, menu planning and presentation for residents. The role requires extensive fine dining experience in healthcare or senior living settings, with a culinary degree and at least five years in supervisory roles.

You will ensure sanitary, safe operations, coordinate with other departments and mentor staff to deliver on-time, high-quality meals aligned with physicians’ dietary plans.

Qualifications

• This department director has extensive experience in providing fine dining in various venues.
• The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of dietary/dining service supervisory experience.
• Training/education in cost control, food management, and/or diet therapy for healthcare residents is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, inspire and direct the overall operation of Dining Services to ensure high-quality nutritional services.
• Maintain department cleanliness, safety and sanitary standards.
• Determine food presentation and create decorative displays; standardize production methods.
• Assist in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by physicians.
• Complete administrative forms, reports and evaluations; coordinate with other departments.
• Develop good relationships with staff to meet residents’ dining needs.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures by staff, residents and visitors.
• Delegate authority and establish production lines to ensure timely meals.
