Job Overview

As the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensure a safe and sanitary work environment, and prepare or direct meal preparation according to corporate standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for energetic culinary professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan menus according to established guidelines.
  2. Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards. Use daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality assurance.
  3. Train kitchen staff in food prep, safety, equipment operation, and sanitation standards.
  4. Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
  5. Manage inventory of food and supplies within guidelines, ensuring availability of necessary products.
  6. Decide on utilization of leftover food products within company policies.
  7. Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations through audits.
  8. Follow safety policies and report incidents as required.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience.
  • Extensive catering experience is a plus.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations preferred.
  • Hands-on chef experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of current food and catering trends, quality control, sanitation, and food cost management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
Benefits & Compensation
