Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Lausanne Collegiate School an Independent, Coeducational College-Placement School located in Memphis, TN. The Executive Chef 1 is responsible for overseeing daily food production, ordering, inventory management, and catering operations. Bring your passion for culinary excellence and strong organizational skills to ensure outstanding service and satisfaction in a thriving K-12 At schools’ environment. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Joining us at one of our school sites means fostering healthy learning environments and positively influencing the students’ well-being and performance.

What You'll Do

  • be responsible culinary training of staff members as well as execution of catered events;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance;
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems;
  • Typical shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm with rare catering events outside of normal hours.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 Years

Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
