Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations for our Café, Grab-and-Go, and catering concepts at Alexandria Events. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who excels in menu development, food quality, and team leadership. They will create fresh, high-quality grab-and-go offerings while ensuring efficient kitchen operations, cost control, and an exceptional guest experience.

Day-to-Day
  • Lead, train, and develop the kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Curate and innovate grab-and-go menus, café, and catering menus, incorporating seasonal, locally sourced, and sustainable ingredients, and current food trends.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, food quality, and compliance with health and safety standards. Manage inventory, food costs, and kitchen budgets to optimize efficiency and profitability. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to enhance customer experience and streamline service. Ensure adherence to dietary needs and allergen protocols for guests with special dietary requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment in accordance with local food safety regulations. Develop relationships with local vendors to source high-quality ingredients. Support private events, catering, and seasonal promotions as needed.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a café, catering, grab-and-go concept, resort, hotel, or high-volume restaurant.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning, food cost control, and kitchen operations.
  • Food Safety Certification (ServSafe or equivalent)
  • Experience working with POS systems (Micros preferred), Microsoft Office, and social media for menu promotions.
  • Knowledge of special diets (vegan, gluten-free, keto, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience with private events, banquets, and à la carte service.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
