Job description

Job Title: Executive Chef

The Dinex Group, the restaurant group of internationally renowned Chef Daniel Boulud, is seeking an Executive Chef to join its team of restaurants.

The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the restaurant. This role ensures that all personnel and systems operate efficiently to achieve guest satisfaction, meet budgeted profit levels, and maintain employee morale. The Executive Chef collaborates closely with the General Manager, communicates with Corporate Chefs and the Director of Operations, and maintains relationships with hotel personnel. This position supervises all back-of-house staff. It is a full-time, salaried position.

Competencies & Qualifications:
  • Six+ years of experience in high-volume or fine dining environments, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, coworkers, members, and the public to promote teamwork and maintain a professional approach
  • Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations
  • Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Skill in calculating figures such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
  • Active practice of food safety procedures
  • Ability to train and motivate team members
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management
