Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Job description

Major Food Group is hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at ZZ's Club!

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing culinary operations, leading the kitchen team, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and presentation. The Executive Chef will work closely with the General Manager to ensure efficient operation and guest satisfaction.

ZZ's Club, a private membership space by Major Food Group originating in Miami, is an exclusive, modern social venue designed for individuals who appreciate the highest culinary, hospitality, and entertainment standards. We serve as a home away from home for our distinguished members, who expect precise execution and exquisite attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Design creative and seasonal menus aligned with restaurant goals and customer preferences.
  • Ensure all menu items meet the highest culinary standards.
  • Source, order, and receive high-quality ingredients.
  • Develop, teach, and maintain recipes and techniques.
  • Organize and oversee a large team, holding each chef accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Oversee and ensure smooth professional service.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage scheduling and inventory within set budgets.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience
