Job summary

Elior Collegiate Dining is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for Lake Superior State University (Dining) in Sault Ste Marie, MI. The role focuses on leading culinary operations, maintaining quality standards, and overseeing production with a focus on healthful, flavorful offerings.

Relocation assistance may be provided. The position offers full-time onsite work with benefits and opportunities to influence campus dining programs.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of progressive culinary experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with budget statements.
  • Associate’s degree in culinary arts (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing other production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated executive chef for our Elior Collegiate Dining team in Sault Ste Marie, MI. As an executive chef, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious, healthy food for guests.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supervising the quality standards and practices of the food production process, including purchasing, food specifications, meal preparation, service, and sanitation.
  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing other production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met.
  • Participating in the planning and execution of special events.
What we're looking for:

Compensation Range

Compensation for this position is up to $75,000 / year based on experience.
