Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary services department, ensuring nutritious, well-plated meals and resident satisfaction. You will plan and direct all operations, hire and mentor staff, and maintain HACCP compliance while managing budgets.

The role reports to the Executive Director and is salaried, with a typical range around $70,000–$75,000 annually. This position requires a bachelor's degree and ServSafe certification, with strong cost control and computer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in culinary arts, hospitality, nutrition, or business.
• Minimum of two (2) years culinary services administration experience, preferably in senior living.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Must have training and experience in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, delegating, and directing all aspect of the culinary services department.
• Oversee the production of all meals while maintaining high quality, excellent service practices, and superior customer service.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 Yearly

Job Overview

Responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of the culinary services department. Ensure resident satisfaction by delivering a variety of food options that are nutritious and well plated.

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
