Job summary

Compass Group, North America is seeking an Executive Chef in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves overseeing all culinary functions for a dining account, managing and leading a team, while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. Responsibilities include cost control management, menu planning, inventory management, and rolling out culinary programs.

The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree and several years of management experience in high volume settings, coupled with a commitment to growth and excellence in food service.

Qualifications

• Four to five years of culinary management experience in either a 4 star hotel or restaurant.
• Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company.

Job Summary

Working as an Executive Chef, you are responsible for overseeing all culinary functions for a dining account. You will manage and lead a team of associates and oversee all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the account. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Manages cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
• Plans and creates all menus
• Purchases and manages inventory
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred
• Four to five years of culinary management experience in either a 4 star hotel or restaurant
• High volume production and catering experience is essential
• Previous experience managing cost controls, sanitation, and health/hygiene codes
• Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company
