We are seeking an adventurous Executive Chef with a teacher mentality and a desire to lead, train, and develop a staff with limited culinary skills or management experience. You will hold responsibility for the entire culinary operation of 2 locations in Anchorage, AK. Those seeking a vibrant city life surrounded by natural beauty will enjoy Anchorage’s unique blend of urban amenities with easy access to outdoor adventures. With a friendly community and diverse culture, it’s an ideal place to live, work, and explore. You will also enjoy family-friendly hours that are normally Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, with weekends off!
Strong leadership and cost control skills are the most valuable tools for success in this position.
Annual Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 + 10% bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package + $5,000 Relocation AssistanceExecutive Chef Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Executive Chef experience is required.
- Knife skills and a culinary degree are required for this position.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for motivating and developing teams.
- Expertise in managing kitchen operations, budgets, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensure culinary production stays in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for the preparation of food items.
- Train, lead, and motivate a culinary staff.
- Maintain accurate records and effective cost control methods.
- Develop and maintain effective and mutually beneficial relationships to ensure a successful operation.
- Interact with guests daily.
- Develop food and labor targets.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
