Job summary

Bally's Tiverton in Tiverton, Rhode Island, is seeking a Chef to lead kitchen staff and deliver high-quality menu items for a fast-paced casino food service operation. You will oversee production during operating hours, develop daily specials, and ensure compliance with RI codes and HACCP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a chef in a high-volume restaurant, creating high quality food products.
• Culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff, both kitchen and dishroom, create daily specials menu.
• Calculation of inventory requirements.
• Oversee cleanliness of kitchen, refrigeration, dishroom and all other kitchen support areas.
• Communication with front of house staff.
• Ordering of all food and supplies needed, as well as costs.
• Hiring, firing and supervision of necessary personnel.
• Knowledge and compliance of all RI food codes and HACCP laws.
• Ensure wait staff and kitchen staff fully understand all items for sale each day, while ensuring security of kitchen after hours.
• Ensure all items leaving kitchen are charged for or brought to the Food Service General Kitchen Manager’s attention.
• Responsible for kitchen and all support staff during all hours of operation.
