The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale, speed, and ability to build, invent and simplify, a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

Sustainability Science and Innovation (SSI) is a multi-disciplinary team within the WW Sustainability team that combines science, analytics, economics, statistics, machine learning, product development, and engineering expertise. We use these expertise and skills to identify, develop and evaluate the science and innovations necessary for Amazon, customers and partners to meet their long-term sustainability goals and commitments. This team owns three impactful areas: 1) Long-term company-wide sustainability trajectory and prediction modeling (Climate; Economy; Industry); 2) Investment strategy for novel abatement technologies (Evaluation, Incubation, Scaling). Technologies include processes, materials, and methods. (3) Industry and Academia facing narratives for our long-term innovation strategy.

We are looking for a well-organized and self-motivated Executive Assistant to support our Directors of SSI. This exciting role requires excellent attention to detail, great organization and prioritization skills, the ability to plan ahead and to meet tight deadlines, all while juggling multiple critical requests. This role requires excellent organizational abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic environment.


Key job responsibilities
Strategic Support:
- Manage complex calendars and coordinate domestic and international travel
- Track and monitor team spaces, critical meetings, goals and deliverables
- Ensure project timelines and deliverables stay on schedule
Communication and Coordination:
- Build strong relationships across all organizational levels
- Collaborate closely with WWS lead EA and other EAs
- Organize team events, meetings, and strategic planning sessions
- Create clear, effective communication channels between teams and peers
Operational Excellence:
- Lead workspace management initiatives
- Develop and maintain team procedures and best practices
- Leverage modern tools and AI to improve team efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated experience with travel coordination
- Track record of working with global teams
- Proven ability to handle administrative details independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience leading process improvements
- Background in fast-paced, high-tech environments
- Expertise in efficiency-focused process design
- Project management experience
- Workspace planning/management experience
- Experience supporting scientific or technical functions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
