Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of work-related experience or high school diploma/GED and at least 10 years of related administrative support experience.
  • Previous experience supporting Nuclear Executives preferred.
  • Experience gathering information and compiling materials for leadership and board meetings preferred.
  • Experience booking international travel arrangements preferred.
  • Experience coordinating meetings with ELT and SMC members preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the highest integrity.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience organizing and scheduling calendars for multiple executives.
  • Experience managing executive emails.
  • Ability to research independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Research, gather, compile, and organize information for reports and leadership meetings.
  • Initiate administrative projects, set priorities, and delegate work as appropriate.
  • Manage the executive's email during absences and prepare responses.
  • Maintain confidential records and reports; collect, compile, and analyze data.
  • Prepare meeting materials and coordinate with executive subordinates.
  • Coordinate senior leadership meetings, including logistics and day-of support.
  • Prepare and revise executive-management documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Prepare expense reports and reconciliation statements; review and approve others' expense reports.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and meeting preparations.
  • Maintain availability according to executive schedules and address needs proactively.
  • Maintain knowledge of Duke Energy's organization and business operations.
  • Handle calls, mail, visitors, and appointments.
  • Prepare correspondence and written communications.

Job description

  • Manage the executive's email during absences and prepare or coordinate responses

  • Maintain confidential records and reports; collect, compile, and analyze data

  • Prepare meeting materials and coordinate with executive subordinates

  • Coordinate senior leadership meetings, including logistics, calendar coordination, information gathering, and day-of support

  • Prepare and revise executive-management documents using Microsoft Office

Requirements

  • Ability to build working relationships with all organizational levels inside and outside Duke Energy

  • Ability to work effectively in a work-plan-driven/team environment

  • Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future

  • Must live within a reasonable commute of the designated Duke Energy facility, not greater than 50 miles one way

  • Expected to report to the assigned facility, on average, 3 full workdays per regular workweek

  • May require flexibility in work hours or locations

  • May require some travel
