Kora seeks to make long-term equity investments (both public and private) in exceptional teams in the emerging digital economies of the world. We specialize in internet and financial services investments in global growth markets. Founded in 2013 on the belief that independent research and concentrated portfolio investments can deliver idiosyncratic returns, Kora conducts on-the-ground research in Brazil, India, China, Japan, UAE, and Singapore, with operations in New York.

Role: Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Responsibilities will initially include:

  • Complete administrative and project management responsibility for running the firm’s Brooklyn office space.
  • Managing vendor relationships related to firm administration and office management.
  • Liaising with global offices and vendors to provide onboarding and ongoing support for employee access to necessary equipment, software, and documentation.
  • Managing a calendar for two principals, as well as joint management of several shared and firmwide calendars along with an admin team.
  • Planning and documenting extensive domestic and international travel for two principals, as well as planning periodic firmwide group trips to global destinations, with the opportunity to drive culture-forward initiatives.
  • Serve as a warm and professional first point of contact when fielding inquiries to the firm’s general phone number and email inbox and greeting visitors to the Brooklyn office.
  • Assisting with one-off and recurring projects and events as needed, including projects for the firm’s senior leadership.
  • Maintaining clear and acc urate documentation of all administrative processes.

Additional responsibilities may be added as appropriate, including opportunities to lead internal process improvements. The full-time position will be based in Brooklyn, and working from the office will be required, with some flexibility to work 1-2 days per week from home when responsibilities allo w. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship will be provided to ensure success in the role. The salary range is $ 75,000 - $125,000.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years related experience.
  • Excellent communications skills, particularly in written communications, and comfort communicating with senior leadership.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, with demonstrated achievements in previous academic and work experience.
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to think critically, from first principles, and to change your mind based on evidence.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel), technical proficiency with other software platforms, and ability to adapt to new technological tools promptly.
