Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) invites applications for an Executive Assistant and Advisor to the DISA Global Commander and Senior leaders. The role coordinates information flow, meeting logistics, and calendar management to support the DG command's mission.
Responsibilities include travel planning in the Defense Travel System (DTS), preparing executive briefings, memos, and correspondence, and ensuring timely tasking and follow-up for senior staff.
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Administrative Support Work Category at the Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Global Field Command (DG).
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
To qualify at the GG-09 grade level your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-07 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-09 level, qualifying experience is defined as experience assisting in drafting and reviewing standard executive correspondence, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple calendars for senior-level staff; and scheduling and coordinating meetings.
To qualify at the GG-11 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-09 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-11 level, qualifying experience is defined as experience independently drafting and reviewing executive correspondence, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple calendars for senior-level staff; scheduling and coordinating meetings; and tracking action items or taskers using a data system.
To qualify at the GG-12 grade level your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-11 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-12 level, qualifying experience is defined as directing, editing, reviewing, and finalizing executive correspondence for executive signature, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple senior-level staff calendars; scheduling and coordinating meetings; directing the workflow of action items or taskers using a data system; and executing travel arrangements and final authorizations utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS).
