Job summary

Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA is seeking an Asian Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver authentic Asian flavors across Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Korean cuisines, with sushi operations experience. This role requires managing quality, safety, and inventory while training staff.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in multiple Asian cuisines, strong leadership, and a track record of driving food quality and cost controls in a full-service restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Three or more years’ experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant.
• Two years’ supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and laws.
• Familiar with local, regional, national and international cuisines and kitchens.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals.
• Identify defects and implement quality and sanitation improvements.
• Manage food cost, labor cost and controllable expenses.
